Family

Diljit Dosanjh is from a Sikh family. He was born on 6 January 1984 in a village of Dosanjh Kalan, Phillaur teh. , Jalandhar, Punjab, India. His father, (Balbir Singh) was a bus driver in Punjab Roadways and his mother (Sukhwinder Kaur) is a housewife. He has one elder sister and one younger brother. Diljit is married to Sandeep Kaur, they also have a son. In his childhood he was in Dosanjh Kalan and then moved to Ludhiana. His schooling was from Shri Guru Harkrishan Public School, in school, he started singing and he also starts performing Kirtan at local gurdwaras.

Career & Movies

Mr. Rajinder Singh helped Diljit for Debue in punjabi music industry, his first album released in 2004 name “Ishq Da Uda Ada”. After this he spell his name Diljit from Daljit. The second album also released in 2004 name “Dil”, that was superhit. After 2004 he released many albumbs in every year. In 2011 he entered in punjabi movies, lead role debut in “The Lion of Punjab”. The movie was flopped but the song “Lak 28 Kudi Da” was a big hit. In 2012 his lead role in Jatt and Juliet was comendable, that time he also entered in bolywood. Some of his bollywood movies are “Udta punjab”, phillauri, Good Newwz, etc.
